Abstract
AbstractPurpose: The article analyzes the conditions that contribute to the successful functioning of tourism and hospitality enterprises, emphasizes the fact that there is a process of mass mobilization in the consumption of hotel and tourist services and the formation of certain value positions.Design/Methodology/Approach: The rich potential accumulated by modern science, including economics, in the field of studying theoretical issues related to the study of the spiritual and moral aspects of people’s life, mass postmodern hedonism in the provision of services in the field of tourism and hospitality in the context of the transformation of socio-economic systems, allows us to emphasize that issues of a methodological nature, somehow related to understanding this problem, still remain unresolved.Finding: Analyzing the problem of limitless postmodern hedonism in the provision of hotel and tourist services in the context of the transformation of socio-economic systems, significant features of this phenomenon were identified. Hedonism, as an ethical doctrine that includes moral views that reflect ideas of the value of enjoyment, reflects the essence of the concept of a consumption society as a whole. It would seem that the hedonistic component of the consumption society has outlived itself as a doctrine back in antiquity. But in reality, the transformation of the processes of socio-economic life takes place in the bosom of the hedonistic principle of pleasure. However, with the increasing desire to receive more and more pleasure, the question of hedonistic motivation, which contradicts the ideas of the social order, involuntarily arises.Originality/Value: The concepts of «hedonism» and «asceticism» are opposed to each other, reflecting all the severity of the problem being raised. In the flow of excessive desire to enjoy, the spiritual world of man often changes. The novelty of this study is to identify the possibility of integrating the essential forces of a person, his potential opportunities in the provision of services in the field of tourism and hospitality in the context of the transformation of socio-economic systems.KeywordsHospitalitySpiritual and moral potentialSocio-economic systemsSocial normsTourismPersonEconomic anthropologyJEL CodesF01F16F63F64G17G41J62L23L25L84O44P17P21
