Abstract

This article consists of a study aiming to reflect on how is the approach of Transversal Themes, integral element of the National Curriculum Parameters - PCN in the classroom, teaching of Portuguese language. As bibliographic references, it was decided by scholars of Candau, Freire, Mizukami, Piletti and Zabala, in their studies bring reflections about education; a literature review on the Transversal Themes and issues related to education. From this theoretical support seeks to understand how the proposals brought in NCP are addressed by Portuguese teachers.
