Abstract

According to the its basic principles, the theorie interpretative approaches the translation process as being mainly centered on how the meaning expressed in the source-text is understood and transferred into the target text. This theoretical approach is worthy of consideration in so far as it is not restricted to a given category of languages and proposes methodologies that call for a sharp separation of the act of translating from linguistic aspects of the source-text. This study aims to open a reflection on the relevance of the theorie interpretative and to question its universal nature with a view to a translation didactics in African languages.
