Abstract
Communication is more than words and gestures. The beliefs and intentions that are a component of the messages sent may predetermine their message and, consequently, the final effect. Being aware of their enormous impact on the process of communicating with ourselves and the outside world, we can enter into various relationships more fully and properly. Above all, however, being aware of the mechanisms associated with them, we are able to manage the communication process in such a way that each of its parties can get the most out of it what is mostimportant and best for them. The article concerns intentions and convictions as an element of the communication process, which is often completely ignored. The final assumption made in thisarticle is to relate the essence of these conviction and intentions to interpersonal communication, in particular in relation to communication with a child.
