Abstract

This article is about Kitab at-Tawhid by Imam Maturidi, one of the first books on the doctrine of Maturidiyya. The article includes four paragraphs. The first paragraph is entitled “Kitab at-Tawhid: its title, status, reason, and history of writing, and influence of the work”, in which these elements are described in an analytical form that reveals the scientific aspects of the book. We discussed that this book was the last work of Imam Maturidi and its influence after the author. In the second paragraph, entitled “Bazdawi’s views on the book of Tawhid”, we discussed these views of Bazdawi and revealed which of them are right and which are wrong. The third paragraph, entitled “Noteworthy points and important conclusions of the work”, emphasizes the following: the conclusions of Fethullah Khulaif and Bekir Topaloglu, how they distinguish, some criticisms and comments on these conclusions. Then, in the fourth paragraph, entitled “Detailed criticism of some opinions in the conclusions,” we reviewed some of the errors in these conclusions in detail. Then we presented the results of the work, including key points, conclusions, and a proposal to re-verify the book in its perfect form.
