Abstract

"The aim of this article is to show the potential of using tools based on artificial intelligence in the process of learning, teaching and testing language skills. In the title, the author outlines the dualistic nature of the use of modern technology in education and the potential risks. The technological developments are leading to an increasing use of the term digitization in teaching processes. The author defines the term digitization and provides examples of the application of innovations in teaching practice. GPT Chat as an online text-generating bot is an innovation also for education. The article presents possible ways of using the website to teach vocabulary, grammatical constructions and rules and to practice receptive and productive skills and presents possible risks of using this technology."
