Abstract

The “Royal Tribute Picture of the Qing Dynasty” (“Huang Qing Zhigong Tu”) is a valuable historical ethnographic book compiled during the reign of emperor Qianlong in the Qing dynasty. It vividly depicts the appearance, costumes, and lives of ethnic minorities, as well as people from vassal states and overseas countries during the Qing dynasty. This paper thoroughly reviews studies on the book by Chinese researchers and aims to provide a reference for further and more in-depth research.
