Abstract

(3) It has been shown that the static dielectric permeability and the maximum loss factor in the PPG oligomers investigated decreases in inverse proportion to the degree of polymerization. (4) It has been established that the activation energy for the dipole relaxation processes in solutions of PPG in toluene decreases with dilution from 22.5 to 8-0 keal/mole, the corresponding figures for ED-5 being 39.5 and 8.0 keal/mole. It has been suggested that the observed decrease in the activation energy for dipole relaxation is caused in the substances investigated by a decrease in the energy of intermoleeular interactions.
