Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain NCT's Parasocial Idol interactions in building closeness with NCTzen through YouTube. This study uses the concept of parasocial interaction and Computer Mediated Communication. The method used is qualitative with a digital ethnographic approach and the technique used is online observation conducted on parasocial interaction activities on Youtube NCT. The results showed that the process of parasocial interaction on NCT Idols in building closeness with NCTzen was marked by interactions in the YouTube comments column on the content broadcast by NCT such as live streaming, daily life videos, MV, variety shows. The interaction was repeated by NCTzen and NCT.
