Abstract

Objective To observe the influence of comprehensive nursing intervention on patients with urinary bladder function after hysterectomy. Methods From July 2007 to December 2008, 70 women who accepted hysterectomy were included in the study, and randomly divided into study group(n=35, comprehensive nursing intervention) and control group(n=35, routine nursing intervention). Residual urine volume was measured, incidence rate of urinary retention and urinary tract symptoms were compared between two groups. The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Investigation in Human Being of Binzhou Medical University Hospital.Informed consent was obtained from each patients. Results There had significant differences in incidence rate of urinary retention and urinary tract symptoms between two groups(P<0.05). Conclusions Comprehensive nursing intervention after hysterectomy can reduce the incidence rate of bladder dysfunction, promote the recovery of urinary bladder function, and improve quality of nursing intervention.
