Abstract

In this our actual work, we study the propagation of acoustic waves through a finite acoustic waveguide containing waveguides and resonators. We present the phenomenon of AIT and Fano resonances when the resonators are grafted in parallel at the same site or the resonators grafted in series are identical. The AIT resonance appears as a maximum transmission peak wedged between two transmission zeros and the Fano resonance appears as a maximum transmission peak near to a transmission zero. Our proposed system contains five waveguides of length di(i=1–5) and four asymmetric resonators of length dj(j=6–9). This system creates acoustic eigen modes due to the interaction between the incoming acoustic waves and the waveguide and resonator modes. Theoretical results are obtained using the transfer matrix method which allows calculating the transmission and reflection rates in energy. This system is useful for guiding and filtering applications.
