Abstract

In digital circuits, adder is one of the most widely used circuit and it is one of the main components in every Arithmetic and Logic Units (ALU) of microprocessors and microcontrollers. Adders are used to perform arithmetic and logical operations such as Addition, Multiplication of numbers and many other operations. The performance of the Adders will affect the performance of ALU and in turn microprocessor and microcontrollers and the application which use them. Hence the design of adders is important in digital design. The analysis by considering the Power consumption and delays of Full Adders implementations in 180 nm, 90 nm and 45 nm technologies is discussed in this paper.
