Abstract

This study addresses the impact of climate change on the distribution and incidence of dengue in the Amazon region, examining how changes in temperature, precipitation, and humidity patterns influence the proliferation of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the disease vector. Evidence suggests that global warming and extreme weather events, such as heavy rainfall and drought periods, create favorable conditions for mosquito breeding, leading to a geographical expansion of risk areas and an increase in dengue cases.
