Abstract

Optically detected cyclotron resonance (ODCR) is a useful technique to study dynamical properties of semiconductors. We have investigated the origin of the donor–acceptor-pair recombination emissions (usually denoted as Q and R series) in ZnSe. We observed the positive ODCR signals for Q emission, while negative ODCR signals were observed for R emission. It is found that the opposite sign of the ODCR signals for Q and R emissions originates in a difference in the donors associated with Q and R emissions.
