Abstract
(Latitude 12° 02′.7 S., longitude 75° 20′.4 or 5h 01m.4 W. of Gr.)November 2—This was a very brief disturbance with sudden commencement in all three elements. After 14h 20m GMT, H increased seven gammas in one minute, decreased 18 gammas in two minutes, increased 127 gammas in three minutes, and decreased 60 gammas to normal value at 14h 32m. After 14h 22m D decreased 1′ in two minutes, increased 3′ in three minutes, and decreased 2′ in five minutes to normal value at 14h 32m. After 14h 22m Z increased six gammas in four minutes and then decreased eight gammas in four minutes to normal value at 14h 32m. Prior to and following this 12‐minute interval of disturbance the magnetic records were undisturbed.
