Abstract

Taking the suggestion that came from reading the works of Paul Ricoeur on the relations between time e narrative, history and fiction , the author makes an attempt at reading the complexity of Georges Bernanos' novel, Monsieur Ouine (1943), viewing its characters as survivors of a world in ruins, the history of which had been brought to and end with the 1914 war.
