Abstract

This article is an attempt to explain how to perform healthy behavior as a source of happiness in people of all ages. The study was conducted among 100 students and 100 people aged 60+. The subjects were divided into two equal groups and subjected to a questionnaire survey. One of the groups chose the health behaviors that she considered important for healthy living; the other group chose the ones that actually did. All people were asked to rate their lives in the context of happiness. The analyzes show statistically significant differences between the implementation and the declaration of the application of health behaviors in the group of students as well as those aged 60+. Boys and girls do not differ significantly in the level of perfor-mance of pro-health behaviors except for the use of different diets. This difference does not occur in the elderly. Pro-health behavior does not correlate with happiness in ado-lescents. In older people, happiness is clearly correlated with pro-health behaviors asso-ciated with physical activity.Patients are aware of the need for pro-health behaviors but do not manifest them in their daily lives. In young people, health does not mean happiness. In older people, pro-health behaviors are a source of happiness.
