Abstract
Although Haute-Savoie has an image of being a wealthy region, precariousness is often rendered invisible. When this is combined with suffering on the streets and mental health problems, new models of support are essential. A scheme called Un chez-soi d'abord has been set up in the north of the department. Its implementation was based on a phase of experimentation and then prefiguration, during which the issue of access to care shook up working habits. The characteristics of the local area were a key factor in our thinking. In this context, the inclusion of this type of project in housing and mental health programming plans is particularly necessary. These new practices are based on recovery-oriented mental health support.
