Guidelines in Local Alternative Energy Management of Communities in Thailand's Central and Eastern Regions

Abstract

This qualitative study aims to assess the implementation of alternative energy in Thailand's Central and Eastern Regions (TCERs). Thus, a CIPP-I (Context Input Process Product-Impact) Model was applied to establish the guidelines in local alternative energy management. Indepth interviews were carried out with the regional administration of the Ministry of Energy. Questionnaires were used to collected data from the local people. Results of this study revealed that the implementation of local energy management of communities in TCERs was at a moderate level. However, there was no continuation in the implementation in some communities due to lack of relevant support. This study has proposed guidelines in local alternative energy management for these regions.
