Abstract
Enzyme electrode was prepared by the use of carbon paste containing polyethylene glycol-modified glucose oxidase (CP/PEG-GOD). The PEG-GOD exhibits higher enzyme activity in CP than unmodified GOD does in the same matrix. Direct electrical communication between PEG-GOD and CP was observed: oxidation and reduction current peaks of CP/PEG-GOD in differential pulse voltammograms were at -0.36 and -0.36, respectively. Continuous oxidation current of glucose with CP/PEG-GOD was detected at 0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl).
