Abstract

In the essential elements which constitute the power transmission axis of the more electric aircraft, there will be a local DC power network. These systems, which will be designed to allow recovery of energy, should include electrical storage and dissipation systems to meet the constraints of maintenance of the DC bus voltage, but also of energy efficiency. To achieve power management of the system interconnected with power source, loads, storage and dissipation systems, four strategies are proposed in this paper. The objectives of the strategies are to maintain the bus voltage and to increase the global energy efficiency. These strategies are compared with the help of voltage performance and energy efficiency criteria. The study does not consider a particular storage technology. The comparison of different supervision strategies is carried out by considering two dynamics and two different powers of the storage system.
