Abstract

This article presents materials of the 10th lecture on the subject “Theory of load-lifting, transport, construction and road equipment and facilities”. This lecture covers theoretical questions concerning the calculation of the performance of continuous transport systems, including the determination of shear energy, the power required to move bulk materials and to move cargo horizontally and along inclined sections, as well as the starting mode of a transporting machine equipped with a cargo hauling capacity. In addition, a theory for calculating the performance of machines performing batch transfer of material is considered, including the power required to move batches of load along an inclined or vertical trajectory of portions to the load, etc.
