Abstract

This article presents materials of the 10th lecture on the subject “Theory of load-lifting, transport, construction and road equipment and facilities”. This lecture covers theoretical issues concerned with the fundamentals of a theory of oscillations of linear and nonlinear systems on the examples of horizontal platforms in order to expand the students’ knowledge obtained when studying the course of theoretical mechanics. The lecture is divided into the following sections: periodic and non-periodic oscillations, vibration velocity and vibration acceleration, modulated oscillations, linear (harmonic) and non-linear oscillations, as well as the use of vibration devices in load-lifting, transport, construction and road equipment and facilities.
