Abstract
The solution of the nonlinear equation for a typical ferroresonant circuit in a power system is shown to exhibit three types of ferroresonant states: periodic, quasiperiodic and chaotic. Simulations of each of these states are presented for different sets of parameters of the system. It is also shown that the transformer losses are an important factor in obtaining the chaotic state. >
