Abstract
The article presents the results of the study on the characteristics of experiencing and overcoming stress by civil servants with different work experience. The sample consisted of 52 employees of the Ulyanovsk city administration. The following psychodiagnostic methods were used: tests to determine the level of stress and stress resistance by Yu. V. Shcherbatykh and S. Hobfoll’s Strategic Approach to Coping Scale. According to the results of the study, it was possible to identify various signs of stress, characteristics of basic and dynamic stress resistance, and dominant coping strategies in three groups according to work experience: up to 5 years, from 5 to 10 years and more than 10 years. Also, different structures of relationships between the studied characteristics were identified for each of the groups.
