Abstract

본 연구의 목적은 캠퍼스 대학에서 온라인 학습참여에 영향을 미친 요인을 분석하고 학습참여를 촉진할 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 위함이다. 연구결과, 전달 매체와 관련하여 접근성의 용이함은 학생들의 학습참여에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 시·공간의 제약을 받지 않는다는 점, 반복학습과 복습이 가능하다는 점에서 선호했다. 학습활동과 관련하여, 초기 학생들의 적극적인 태도는 지속되지 못하는 경향을 보였고, 제공된 학습콘텐츠의 전문성이 미흡했으며, 특히 과중한 학습량으로 인해 학생들은 학습참여에 어려움을 호소했다. 마지막으로 상호작용에 있어서, 즉시 물어보지 못하고 망설였으며, 피드백을 계속 기다리거나, 질의를 글로 표현해야 하는 부담감 등 학생들은 온라인 상호작용의 어려움을 경험했다. 이번 연구 결과는 향후 대학에서 Post-COVID-19시대를 대비하여 온라인 수업의 질을 제고하고자 노력하는 대학 행정가에게 기초지식과 정보를 제공했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.This study was designed to investigate factors affecting academic engagement in online courses and to further develop online academic environment. The Finding indicate that the ease of access of online courses had a positive effect on academic engagement. Students had greater flexibility in when and where they study, thus, they were satisfied with online classes. However, Regarding academic activity, students’ attitude to online courses tended to be negative. In addition, poor quality online learning materials and too many assignments had a negative impact on academic engagement. Finally, students were faced with the lack of interaction. They were hesitant to reach out for help and feedback from faculty members was usually delayed. They were also not comfortable with text-based online communication. The knowledge gained from this study serves to support academic affairs professionals in colleges with regard to the design of online services for post-COVID-19 education.
