Abstract

In this study, The N-doped carbon quantum dots (NCQDs) modified SnO2 nanocomposites were synthesized by the facile hydrothermal method. The photocatalytic performance of resultant SnO2/NCQDs nanoparticles were indeed investigated which indicated the SnO2/NCQDs exhibited enhanced photocatalytic performance than the SnO2. The improved photocatalytic activity of the SnO2/NCQDs composites could be due to the introduction of NCQDs, which can not only increase visible light absorption spectrum, but also improve the separation efficiency of the electrons and holes leaded to the accelerated electron transfer.
