Abstract
Bilingual teaching was an important way to get the integration of Chinese higher educa-tion and the international frontier. Comprehensively taking into account subject characteristics of medicalbiochemistry, school orientation and basic quality of students, according to the teaching principles of threecombinations --combination of young teachers and teachers returned from abroad, combination of instruc-tion in class and extracurricular learning, combination of teaching and students' self-study, department ofbiochemistry and molecular biology, Hebei Medical University explored a bilingual teaching model of medi-cal biochemistry that suits for seven-year education-system students in medical college. In this bilingualteaching model, we highlighted the significance of upgrading of the quality of teachers and improving the ef-ficiency in class, besides we proposed that expanding of extra-curricular learning and feedback informationof teaching is a necessary complement to bilingual teaching biochemistry if we want to attain achievement.The commencement of bilingual teaching model of medical biochemistry could be considered as reference formedical biochemistry as well as life sciences related courses.
