espanolResumenDesde la decada de 1990, la meseta central de Chubut ha absorbido una cantidad creciente de excedentes financieros provenientes de otros lugares. El objetivo del articulo es analizar el impacto de esas inversiones sobre el territorio y sus procesos de desarrollo. El trabajo se focaliza en el valle medio del rio Chubut, territorio ganadero que ha sido revalorizado para la produccion agricola, el turismo y el esparcimiento. A partir del analisis de casos, se explora el impacto de las inversio-nes sobre los procesos de cambio y reactivacion productiva del valle y sobre los establecimientos rurales, las pequenas localidades y sus habitantes. EnglishSince the 1990s, the Central Plateau of Chubut has absorbed an increasing amount of financial surplus from other places. The objective of this article is to analyze the impact of these investments on the territories and their development processes. The work focuses on the Middle Valley of the Chubut River, a historically livestock terri-tory that has been revalued for its aptitudes for agricultural production, tourism and recreation. Based on the case analysis, the article examines the impact of investments on the processes of change and productive reactivation of the valley, on rural establish-ments, small towns and their inhabitants.
