Abstract
Signalized Intersection on Jalan Panglima Sudirman – Jalan KH. Hasan Genggong – Jalan Serma Abdurrahman, Probolinggo is one of the land tranportations routes for Java - Bali. This has an effect on delays that cause traffics jams and vehicle operating costs. Therefore, it needs to be evaluated to determine the level of service at the intersection. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from road geometric measurements, traffic surveys, and signal time surveys conducted on 9, 10, 14 March 2020. Meanwhile, secondary data were obtained from Central Agency on Statistics (BPS) of Probolinggo. For data processing using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI) in 1997. From the results of the analysis of the performance of the existing intersections, the level of intersection services included in category D with a delay value (D) of 30,43 sec/smp. From this analysis, the handling of intersections is needed by changing the existing phase into 2 phases. From the alternative handling calculation, the delay value of 11,83sec/smp and level of service included in category B. Vehicle operating costs for congestion in the existing conditions of Rp. 440.241,354/hour. Meanwhile, after an alternative handling of vehicle operating costs for congestion is Rp. 170.758,206/hour.
