Abstract

The paper starts by describing the state of art about the problems related to the computation of control system parameters and equilibrium flows for an urban traffic network. Then a procedure to approach this general problem is proposed. This procedure is built up combining algorithms designed for: i) junction green scheduling, ii) signal net work coordination, iii) network equilibrium assignment. Finally an application to a test network is described to show the general characteristics and the convergence properties of the outlined procedure.
