Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of nicorandil combined with Shexiang Baoxin pills on elderly patients with non ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). Methods A total of 78 patients with NSTEMI in the Central Hospital of Linfen from January 2016 to February 2018 were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 39 cases in each group. The control group was treated with nicorandil on the basis of routine treatment, and the observation group was treated with Shexiang Baoxin Pills on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The effects of electrocardiogram (ECG), adverse cardiovascular events, serum levels of troponin I (cTnI) and brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), cardiac function including left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results ①ECG effect: the total effective rate of the observation group(94.87%) was higher than that of the control group (76.92%, P<0.05). ②Serum levels of cTnI and BNP: after 4 weeks of treatment, the serum levels of cTnI and BNP in the two groups were significantly reduced, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05). ③LVEDD and LVEF: after 4 weeks of treatment, the heart function of the two groups was significantly improved, and the LVEDD of the observation group was smaller than that of the control group, and LVEF was greater than that of the control group (P<0.05). ④Adverse cardiovascular events: the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events in the observation group was 10.26% (4/39), which was lower than 30.77%(12/39) in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The efficacy of nicorandil combined with Shexiang Baoxin pills on elderly NSTEMI patients is significant, which can protect the myocardium, improve the cardiac function and reduce the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events.
