Abstract
The effect of the type of solvent and polymer on ultrasonic degradation was investigated. It was found that there is a correlation between the rate of degradation of the polymer and parameters characterizing the degree of coiling of the polymer sphere—intrinsic viscosity and the Huggins constant. The rate of degradation increases with an increase of dimensions of the polymer sphere.
