Abstract

The magnetic water (MW) has been used in different fields like agriculture, health care, constructions, dairy production, and oil industries. This study involves the investigation of influence of magnetic water on the workability and compressive strength of concrete. The magnetized water was prepared using the magnetic treatment system. MW is also used to investigate the reduction in the amount of cement required to achieve specified compressive strengths. The water is initially magnetized with the help of 0.5hp motor having a PERMAG N406 is 0.8Tesla magnet at its inlet pipe. In this study, the effect of magnetized water on workability, strength and quality of M25 grade concrete was studied.The compressive strength and splitting tensile strength is higher for the mix which used magnetized water for both mixing and curing. Increase the compressive strength and splitting tensile strength of concrete prepared with MW I more significant at the early age.
