Abstract

Today Pollution is major problem in all over world with a rises in manufacture industry, urbanization, and excessive use of agrochemicals like pesticides, herbicides, fungicides etc. to enhance the agricultural yield. The exposure of pesticides is common in agriculture and its allied practices. About, 3 million cases of intense harming from pesticide presentation have been noted every year .Among the various kinds of pesticides used, Chlorpyrifos have been taken in the present study. Chlorpyrifos is an organophosphate used for agricultural and commercial purposes for pests control. Chlorpyrifos exposure may lead to nausea, vomiting, eye irritation, skin allergy as well as it also exhibit the harmful effect on reproductive organ and its functioning. So the present work focuses on the effect of Chlorpyrifos pesticide on sperm count and its morphology in animal experimental model. The observation showed a significant decrease in sperm count number in the experimental treated group as compared to the control group.
