Abstract
This chapter covers three of the early control textbooks in Hungary: (1) Automatika (Automation) (Lecture notes), (2) Szabályozások Dinamikája (Dynamics of Control Systems), and (3) Automatika (Automation). Automatika (Automation) (Lecture notes) covers the concept, notion, classification, and history of control. The book describes the most frequently applied components of the control loop. The theoretical tools of the control systems such as Laplace transformation, transfer function, frequency characteristic, Nyquist diagram, time response, weighting function, Faltung theorem (convolution), proportional, integrator and differenciator elements, block diagram technique, and classification of control systems are discussed. Szabályozások Dinamikája is a comprehensive book that summarizes linear control theory. Automatika (Automation) covers topics such as historical introduction to control; open- and closed-loop control; control examples; analysis in the time-, operator, and frequency domain; transfer functions, models and control of electric machines; and analog simulation..
