Abstract
The increase in the incidence of non-tuberculosis mycobacteriosis worldwide, associated with the development of diagnostic capabilities of bacteriological laboratories, leads to the need to differentiate it from tuberculosis. The situation is complicated by the similar clinical and radiological signs of these diseases, which leads to unjustified and ineffective prescription of anti-tuberculosis treatment and isolation of such patients. The difficulty in diagnosis is caused by the prevalence of HIV infection and other chronic lung diseases, manifested in patients of the older age group, against the background of a decrease in the overall immunity of the body.Radiation imaging methods do not allow to identify pathognomonic symptoms of mycobacteriosis and often tuberculosis comes out on top in the differential series as a socially significant disease, which leads to prolonged monitoring of the patient and his exclusion from the social life of the society. Using clinical case, the most frequent way of diagnostic search and differentiation of mycobacteriosis of the lungs from tuberculous lung lesion, as well as difficulties in diagnosing will be shown
