Abstract

Journal of Art & Design EducationVolume 3, Issue 3 p. 333-345 Curriculum Development in Art and Design Education: a Personal View EILEEN ADAMS, EILEEN ADAMS EILEEN ADAMS, Lecturer/researcher, and tutor for the MA in Design Education at the Royal College of Art, London, also tutor for PGCE at the School of Art Education of Birmingham Polytechnic, is continuing her part-time second- ment from the ILEA. While teaching art at Pimlico School, London, she was appointed coordinator of the ‘Front Door Project’ in cooperation with the RCA and the GLC Dept. of Architecture. In 1976 she was seconded from the ILEA to the Schools Council Project ‘Art and the Built Environment’ (ABE) and during 1980-1982 served as Project Director. She holds B. Ed of London University, also MA (RCA), and her present research ‘Design as a dimension of the curriculum’ is funded by the Gulbenkian Foundation.
