Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the organizational culture of nursing professionals assigned to the hospitalization service in a private healthcare institution. It is a descriptive research, with a cross-sectional field design. The population was made up of 34 nursing professionals, no sampling was carried out. To collect data, the survey technique was used and the instrument was a 33-item questionnaire with the possibility of responding on a Likert scale. Validity was carried out with a Hospital Management Expert Judgment and reliability reached a value of 0.92 using Cronbach’s Alpha index. The results were obtained that nursing professionals obtain a high degree of agreement regarding the symbolic, structural and behavioral manifestations that are part of the organizational culture of the healthcare center. It is concluded that organizational culture is perceived as a cultural system necessary to reinforce beliefs, direct behavior, establish performance expectations and the motivation to meet them in institutions.
