Abstract
The article is a partial presentation of women who helped shape the Polish linguistics before 1939. The author analyses their contribution in the Polish Linguistic Society and their influence on the development of the “Poradnik Jezykowy”, an important journal of that period. The article is an overview: the author also describes the possible theoretical framework of the future “her-story” of Polish linguistics.
