Abstract
ABSTRACTHere we present the complete genome sequence of Lactobacillus acidophilus ATCC 53544. The assembly contains 1,991,906 bp and is 99.7% similar to L. acidophilus NCFM. This strain was isolated from a rectal swab specimen of an infant and has previously been used as a feed supplement for animals.
