Abstract
Generalized $K(K_{G})$ fading channel, with an arbitrary branch Selection Combining (SC) receiver have been studied, in which the issue of large scale fading, on the performance of quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM), over small scale fading is analyzed. It is found out that the $(K_{G})$ fading model offers substantial improvement over the N akagami-m fading model which can be seen as one of its special events. This highlights the effect caused on the performance due to the large scale fading which can be distinctly understood from the plots in the result and discussion section. Further Monte-Carlo simulation have been employed for the confirmation of the mathematical outcomes.
