Abstract

The collective endowment of money is one of the mechanisms that can be used to support scientific research, by collecting cash money, investing it and spending its proceeds on scientific research. Therefore, this paper came to clarify this by standing on the reality of the collective endowment of money and the origin of its legitimacy in Islamic law, and then standing on the volume of spending on scientific research in the Islamic world by comparing it with the Western world, which uses various sources to finance this field, including the endowment, Because the field of scientific research is considered by all societies the basic means to achieve economic, social and scientific development, and this is what can be achieved or contributed to achieving if the collective endowment of money is activated in a professional manner in the field of scientific research in a way that does not intersect with the provisions of the endowment or not with the prevailing laws.
