Abstract

In the article emigration as a part of modern life reality is concerned. People changing their place of residence have to get accustomed to the new way of living and accept norms, customs, traditions and values of the new country. In the context of the theories of humanistic psychology, the life-sense orientations are defined as complex qualitative-dynamic characteristics of a person, and their components are analyzed in the study. The attitudes to the former and the new countries, the views of respondents on the values of Russian culture and on the culture of their new place of residence are compared.
