Abstract
This chapter discusses variation of the quantities in the system such as frequency, flux, exchange of power, voltage, etc. With different variations in the system configuration, the connection and disconnection of loads, the line sections, transformers, generators, and other elements of the system, variation of the operating conditions takes place. If the system remains stable, statically and dynamically, then a problem arises in determining the new parameters for the condition established after the transient process. The chapter describes various calculations of this kind.
