Abstract

This chapter discusses static stability, power limits, and limits of stability. In simple systems, the limit of the power and the limit of static stability generally coincide. However, in more complicated systems, these two limits have to be considered separately. The chapter discusses different methods of determining the transmitting power limit and the limit according to the static stability of the system with different assumptions. In such problems, either the load calculation is made with constant impedance, which is much simpler and allows the use of the superimposition method, or the loads are calculated according to their static characteristics, which complicates the solution of the problem as it requires a trial and error method.
