Abstract

Modern pesticide laboratories have pressures to implement rapid screening methods that are able to reduce overall costs and labor intensity and to increase laboratory throughput. In this context, two approaches, flow injection analysis coupled to mass spectrometry (FIA-MS) and ambient MS (AMS) techniques have emerged. In both techniques, no chromatographic separation is applied and in AMS techniques sample treatment is also omitted or minimized.
