Abstract

Discussions on various strategies to improve the machine accuracy of EMM have been included in this chapter. It contains tool insulation, electrolyte circulation, shape of the microtool, tool movement strategy, etc. Stray current and microsparks phenomena in EMM have also been reported. Hybrid EMM techniques which are the newer developments to improve the effectiveness of EMM have also been included. The selection of optimal combination of EMM parameters with the help of different developed mathematical models and optimization techniques supported by test results have also been incorporated to enhance the machining efficiency and accuracy.
