Chapter 7 - Thermoacoustic instability

Abstract

This chapter introduces the prediction and control method of the thermoacoustic instability in a combustion chamber. Section 7.1 introduces the basic concept of thermoacoustic instability. The second part briefly gives the one-dimensional thermoacoustic calculation methods, and the prediction model of the three-dimensional thermoacoustic instabilities is derived in the third part, showing some according calculations. Section 7.4 introduces some control methods of combustion instabilities.
