Abstract

This chapter summarized the source of sewage, air pollutants, and solid waste as well as their characteristics. This chapter also analyzed the impact of electromagnetic on residents along the railway during the operation of high-speed railways. The calculation reveals that the radiated power density at any height is less than 8mW/cm2, which meets the requirements of standard GB8702-88 and HJ/T10.3-1996. Moreover, a field investigation of electromagnetic interference with radio and television reception found that the high-speed railway operation had a certain influence on the viewing effect of users who did not use cable TV while having little effect on the viewing effect of cable TV users.
